Some might blame Mercury in retrograde, but we blame bugs that slipped into our app for disturbing your experience in minor yet annoying ways. We’ve caught and sent them to a galaxy far far away.

We’ve been mostly testing our engines, running performance tests, and tinkering around with the app to ensure that your NordVPN journey is a smooth cruise. What have you been up to?

Spring cleaning time: To declutter the app’s specialty server menu, you’ll only see those dedicated IP servers where you currently have IPs.

We’ve launched major Meshnet updates: You can now share files of any size via Meshnet! It’s private and secure. The files you send go to the recipient directly as we don’t store them in any server or cloud. Plus, the data travels through an encrypted connection. The Meshnet feature is now free for everyone.

The Meshnet invitations now show their expiration time. We’ve tripled the referral program reward for you and your friends! Now you get 3 free months of NordVPN for every friend you refer. How does it work? Start by updating your app to the latest version. Then, send a unique referral link to your friend. If your friend buys NordVPN and stays with us for 30 days, you get 3 months and they get up to 3 months of NordVPN.

If there are things that shouldn’t go unnoticed, they are data breaches putting your personal data at risk. So from now on, a red bubble will appear on the Profile icon if Dark Web Monitor detects new leaks. Take it from feline wisdom: always chase the red dot.

Fixed: In cases when connecting to VPN takes longer than usual, we might have unintentionally put you in an endless loop of connection attempts without letting you cancel them. We’ve noticed this and acted on it: long live the ‘Cancel’ button! Can you link TV devices in Meshnet? Yes, you can. Is there an icon to represent them? Now there is. Minor improvements and fixes here and there.

Now it should be easier to find a specific country on the list as you can sort it alphabetically or by popularity. You can route your internet traffic through another device in Meshnet while using the NordVPN app in TV mode too. While routing traffic, you’re accessing the internet under the other device’s IP address.

The icy land of penguins and scientists – Antarctica – is now on the map. On some devices, Google Assistant commands didn’t work as expected. We’ve fixed the problem, so saying “Hey Google, open NordVPN and Quick Connect” will do exactly that. We went nitty-gritty and made improvements under the hood to set the app engine for even greater performance. It’s all about the base.

Here’s one more reason to add the NordVPN widget to the precious space of your home screen: you can pause and resume a VPN connection without opening the app. Efficient!
